RALEIGH, NC – Advance Community Health is proud to announce the achievement of a perfect score (100 percent) from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) during its 2024 Operational Site Visit (OSV).
Established in 1982, HRSA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services dedicated to improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable. The OSV ensures that community health centers (CHCs) comply with the statutory and regulatory requirements of the Health Center Program.
The extensive three-day audit includes various activities, such as board and staff interviews, site tours, and a comprehensive review of policies and procedures in the areas of Clinical/Quality, Governance/Administration, and Fiscal Management.
“We are incredibly proud of this rare achievement,” said Scot McCray, CEO of Advance Community Health. “Our ability to demonstrate full compliance across all areas reflects the significant growth our organization has experienced over the past decade. We’ve built a team of talented, passionate individuals committed to providing the highest level of care to our community.”
Since the last OSV in 2021, Advance has achieved several milestones, including the addition of two new service lines—OB/GYN and urgent care—to improve access and equity. The organization has also opened two new sites, including a Complex Care Center designed to provide tailored care for patients managing chronic conditions, and significantly expanded key programs such as mobile health and patient financial counseling.
“The OSV is an opportunity for us to reflect deeply on what we’re doing well and where we can improve,” said Dr. Colin Ottey, Executive Medical Director of Advance Community Health. “While receiving a perfect score is gratifying, we know our work doesn’t stop here. We look forward to continuing our tradition of innovation and advancement for years to come.”
